Colonel

Since my travel to Kopenhagen (Denmark) I'm crazy in love with Hay, a Danish Design label. So it has become one of
my favorite free-time-spendings to search other shops where they sell the beautiful objects from Hay.
I searched some places in Paris, where they sell the Hay-collection, and I found: COLONEL. A very nice surprise.

A beautiful shop, filled with color. From pastels, to bright, degradé to full color.
Isabelle Gilles and Yann Poncelet, not only present Hay in their store. They also create small collection of furnitures
and textiles. Designed by them. And made with the eye on craftmanship in France.

 A pleasure for the eye.

La piñata

This colorful shop always makes me happy. It's filled with piñata's (the mexican game for children), little toys and color.
So when you make your walk next to canal st martin, you have to enter this nice store for some instant-happiness.
Not only can you buy ready-made piñata's in this store, you also can buy all the equipment to make your own.
The sweet lady of the shop is prepared to help you !

Les délices d'Orient

I discovered Libanese food here in Paris. And I can't get enough of it. So I was really happy when a friend gave me the
address of this amazing Libanese supermarket.

'Les délices d'orient' is a place that you have to visit when you love oriental food. Whether you are searching for some nuts,
olives or fresh vegetables. Or a full libanese meal. Eventhing can be a reason to visit this amazing place.

Käramell

Every time when I walk past this candy-shop I always have to buy a few of my favorite sweeties. It's stronger then myself.

Käramell is a swedish candy store. They have some special swedish sweets that you can't find in other stores in Paris.
Next to that they have a large amount of the regular sweets. And next to sweets they also sell beautiful clogs !
A bit a weird combination maybe, but I can't neglect that sweets and clogs are 2 of my favorite things. So for me it's a perfect match.

Merci

I discovered 'Merci' a month ago. It's a large concept store where you can find everything you wish for. From clothes
to chairs, porcelain to paper, even coffee, pie, and lunches. All of this you can find in 1 place. They have a beautiful selection,
and their styling is perfect. It's a place for everyone who like to spoil himself with a little present.

It's always really really really busy in this shop, so I recommend to go there in the morning.

Shakespeare and company

A different bookshop, that's how I like to call it. It's like you come into an old man's house, sniffing in his collection
of books. Like the name makes you believe, there are a lot of English books in this shop. Next to books there is
a writing corner, a library (which sometimes transform into a place where they have special events like concerts,
movies, ... . ). I was so overwhelmed by all the little notes in the writing corner, that I kind of forgot to take pictures
of the books. But I think the pictures already give a good impression of how the shop looks like. A bit messy.
But a work of art on it's own.

Malhia Kent

My internship is with the famous weaving company Malhia Kent. Since a long time they weave fabrics for Chanel, but they
also have an own collection of high standard fabrics. Their fabrics are used by several famous designers. I'm so blessed that I
can weave in this place, and I learn every day. Their fabrics are very rich of sparkles and colors, and I think it's an experience
for everyone to see what they create.

Malhia Kent also have a little shop where you can buy small pieces of their fabrics. In the store you also can find beautiful
jackets made out of their fabrics (handmade) and cones with wires. For a small sample you pay 1 or 2 euros and for larger
pieces it's 10 euro/m. You can find treasures up here.

Beau Travail

My French friend, Julie, showed me this wonderful shop / atelier. It was sunday, so it was closed, but the sweet woman said
that we could come inside to have a look. (What I think is very sweet). This weekend I went back to the wonderful shop,
to have a better look. I'm so impressed by the beautiful atmosphere they created, and it's a place where I could spend whole days.

'Beau travail' is the atelier of 3 girls (If I'm not wrong ... ). On saturday they open the doors of their atelier, and then it transforms
into a shop were they sell their designs. You can find nice scarfs, wallets, jewelery, puppets, postcards, .... and a lot more.

They are really sweet, and want to help you, but also leave you the time to just look around. A great place that you must visit !
This is definitely my favorite shop in Paris !

cent quatre

'104' is a very nice place that I discovered last weekend. It's a very big old building, that's a cultural center. You can go there
to see theater and dance performances, but also have a place where they have exhibitions.

Next to that it's a meeting place for dancers, families and creative people. In the building you can find several groups of young
dancers who are free styling and practicing their dance steps (very very intriguing) . You also have a very nice second-hand-store,
where you can buy nice things for very cheap prices. There is a bookstore. And there is a nice café where you can drink a cup
of tea or have lunch.

Everything you want, just on 1 place. I believe this is the place to be !

Bonton

BonTon is one of my favourite shops in Paris. A few years ago I found this shop, but I kind of forgot about it.
Last friday I rediscovered it, and I was so happy that I found it again. I think the shop is actually for children, because they mostly sell children clothes. But I'm very much in love with all the little gadgets they have for sale. And also the lovely fairy atmosphere of the shop.
You can find several Bonton's in Paris, look up here for the addresses.
A really nice detail is that you always get a lovely cotton bag if you buy something. Even when it's the most cheap thing. (Like I did ... )
